Der Elmi EPR 31 ist ein PCM Signalling Recorder, ein Prüfgerät, welches im Zusammenhang mit 2 Mbit/s PCM-Systemen verwendet wird. Das Gerät dient zur Aufzeichnung und Dekodierung der vorwärts und rückwärts gerichteten Signalisierungsinformation. Der Gerätesatz besteht aus folgenden Modulen:
Netzteil, Gleichrichter, V24 Interface, Video In-/Output Modul (TTL In, Composite Out) und Signal Reference Input Module.
PCM Signalling Recorder Elmi EPR 31 is a test instrument for use on 2 Mbit/s PCM systems. The instrument records, decodes, and stores the forward and backward signalling information simultaneously in Channel Associated Signalling (CAS) or System no. 7 signalling.

* Event/time registration and time measurements on CAS
* Recording of Message Transfer Part (MTP) and User Part (UP) on Signalling System no. 7
